First day of fall is Tuesday September 23rd 2014. Make Sure your vehicle is ready!

As a long-time resident of this area I know that weather here can change literally overnight once fall arrives that’s why I encourage everyone who has Central Oregon Car Insurance to make sure their vehicles are prepared for fall by following these simple tips.

Tip 1 – Purchase New Wiper Blades

One of the great things about fall is that we can expect some rainfall and even snow flurries that’s why it’s important for you to purchase new wiper blades for your vehicle now because your wiper blades play an important role in keeping your windshield clear when you are on the road.

Tip 2 – Get Your Tires Ready

If you’re a regular driver in Bend, Prineville, Redmond or Sunriver, and you have Central Oregon Car Insurance, you know that each of these towns will get some amount of snowfall during the fall and winter months.

To prepare for snowfall make sure that you have all weather tires and they are rotated and balanced.

For those drivers who have studded tired or snow tires it’s important to make sure that those tires are taken out of storage and can be put on your vehicle at a moment’s notice.

Tip 3 – Oil Change & Tune Up

Fall is usually a great time for oil changes and tune ups because, it’s the midway point before the beginning of the New Year.

Take your vehicle in for a quick oil change and if you haven’t had your car or truck tuned up in a while get a tune up because, this will help your vehicle to perform more efficiently during the colder months.
